Firestorm Update Fixed Post to Flickr

The Firestorm team released a brand new update on Wednesday, May 27th, 2020, version 6.3.9.58205. This new release comes with plenty of improvements fixing bugs and some new features. It’s been over 7 months since the last update so there are lots of improvements.

Recently I have been unable to post directly to Flickr. I mainly post on there by uploading, but they recently changed something with the login....again. The new update addresses this problem and more.

After the update when you try to post a photo to Flickr you will get a pop-up asking you to connect your account. When you enable Flickr you will be brought to a screen that proms you to link your account:

Phoenix-Firestorm Viewer wants to link to your Flickr account.

By authorizing this link, you'll allow Phoenix-Firestorm Viewer to:
  • Access your Flickr account (including private content)
  • UploadEdit, and Replace photos and videos in your account
  • Interact with other members' photos and videos (comment, add notes, favorite)
Phoenix-Firestorm Viewer will not have permission to:
  • Delete photos and videos from your account
When you do this you will be given a code to copy and past back in to Firestorm. Now have successfully authorized the application Phoenix-Firestorm Viewer.

This new release adds a viewer-side support for premium plus members. (There will be some kind of new announcement soon) Note: Linden Labs have not released the Premium Plus feature yet.

Also, this release does not include EEP short for Environmental Enhancement Project.
