The Vivid Route Initiative Projects main purpose is to create a more enjoyable mainland experience. VRI is lead by Reklame Resident, and consist of small spots of land at the roadside with the main objective of entertaining or assisting mainland travelers with imaginative venues to dance, relax, get tourist information, or rez vehicles along Linden roads and waterways.
*Protected Routes are the public access routes provided by Linden Lab and maintained by the Department of Public Works (DPW), a group consisting of Lindens and Moles.
VRI is a ongoing work in progress. Currently very few of those places are as yet finished. Recently the installation of vehicle rezzers commenced.
If you would like to be a part of this project click here for group information.
The VRI group encourages mainland parcel owners to break away from uninspired land covered with carelessly built objects and giant picturewalls or banlines that really look awful. Unchecking "avatars can see me" is the best form of privacy there is. On the flip slide, if you are dealing with a less than thoughtful neighbor there is (thankfully!) always the option to derender their items.

Click here to visit the VRI group land featured in our photo which is located in the vibrant Lusca mainland community. come hang out in the game room, bowling alley or take in a movie at the theater. There's also a grocery store for shopping, a gym to keep that nice pixel shape, especially if you just finished eating at Gigi's Bakery next door. There's also a library, post office, cigar lounge for relaxing, and a Mexican Restaurant up around the corner!
